How It Works

PHASE 0: GATHERING DONATIONS

We’ll be gathering donations for the foreseeable future, so please reach out.

PHASE 1: DISTRIBUTION

Two of us who started this project are based out of Waialua and were fortunate not to be flooded, so we’re doing what we can for the rest of the community. We’ve been going door to door in the neighborhoods that were impacted and gathering contact information and lists of needs for each household. As their homes become safe and ready for habitation again, we’re going to start delivering large furniture and appliances.

PHASE 2: WALK-IN “SHOPS”

After we can get as many large pieces of furniture and appliances to these families by neighborhood, we’re going to set up localized hubs where they can come and collect smaller items like toasters, lamps, small furniture, rugs, etc. to continue furnishing their homes for FREE. We’ll begin with a limit per family as donations continue to come in to ensure it gets distributed fairly.

PHASE 3: CLOTHING “SHOPS”

Once we can get people’s homes to livable spaces, we’ll move onto setting up one or two central shops in Waialua where people can come pick up clothing, toys, books, decor, school supplies, etc. Again, everything will be FREE.

We’ll be carrying on with this project for as long as the community needs it/as long as we keep receiving donations and support. Follow our social media for updates on how it’s all going!
